In this resort city of Latvia, an above ground sewage pumping station bothered residents and vacationers with unpleasant odours for a long time. Currently, this pumping station has an ozonation system, which consists of one ozone generator and one ozone sensor. Ozone is supplied into the screening room, the most problematic area of the wastewater pumping station – screening room. As employees occasionally work in the pumping station, we continuously measure ozone concentration by ozone sensor in the premises where ozone is supplied. Ozonation is stopped manually whenever employees appear at the station.
