Water pollution in swimming pools is extremely high. Infectious viruses, bacteria, fungi, dissolved and undissolved organic matter can be found in pools. Currently, the most common disinfectant for swimming pools is chlorine. Unfortunately, there are many disadvantages using this disinfectant as it promotes the formation of harmful compounds, requires high water and energy consumption and has an unpleasant, irritating smell. Another problem is the formation of chlorinated compounds that are carcinogenic and toxic. These persistent pollutants accumulate and have unpredictable long-term effects on human health, which is why cleaner and more efficient technologies, including ozonation, are becoming increasingly popular.

Advantages of swimming pool water ozonation:

  • There are no contra indications whatsoever, as ozonation does not include any harmful chemicals or disinfectants;
  • Prevents irritation to the eyes, skin, or respiratory tract;
  • Improves skin regeneration;
  • Improves the air quality in the pool area;
  • Suppresses the effect of carcinogenic compounds in water;
  • Prevents damage to hair, as well as hair loss;
  • Absence of chemical residues enable the near total elimination of the typical swimming pool smell (odour-causing substances are neutralised);
  • Prevents the formation of such bio products as chloramines and trihalomethanes.

Prevents the formation (in air and water) of viruses, prions, moulds, bacteria, protozoa, fungi, algae, spores, herbicides, phenols, pesticides, any type of organisms, as well as oxidizing organic and inorganic pollutants (cyanides, sulphates and nitrites).
